Helen Keller (1880 – 1968)  was the first deafblind person to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree.  She was an author, political activist, and lecturer. The story  and play The Miracle Worker shows how her teacher Anne Sullivan has helped break the communication barrier that laid between Helen and the world is well known to many all over the world.
